But is no one mourning the loss of a Carrera GT? Isn't that what they were driving and not just a "Porsche?"
*Disclaimer: I'm not shitting all over Walkers character, rather the characters he portrayed. I'm sure he was a cool dude and did some awesome stuff. So take this for what it was meant to be and get on with your life.*
I mean really, were you all (meaning these people coming out claiming that they are huge fans) really that attached to Brian O'Conner? I mean really, it sucks the dude died but for fucks sake give it a rest, there are other more serious tragedies going on in the world to concern your self with.
I admit, I liked the first F&F movie, and I have seen all of them out of some morbid desire to punish my self which usually ends up with a childish blast on the freeway and pretending I have shifted my car elevntybillion times.
Not to mock the death of a human but seriously ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! He was a shit actor that had decent taste in cars. I never was interested to learn much more about him or his collection but I was never interested to watch a movie he was in other than the abominations that were given to us as food for young enthusiasts.
So from now on, I am going to post the "Streets closed Pizza boy" clip just to shut people up.
Really none of you are mourning the loss of a Carrera GT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

oh man you missed all the drama
i would suggest editing your post. or you'll be in for a shit storm tomorrow...

I don't edit for shit and every comment from a "fan" will get the streets closed linked to them.
Just think of the Carrera GT that lost its life. . .
Plus I'm too lazy to do research on the topic and I am sick of people claiming fandome over him. He was a shitty actor with cool cars, end of story. sucks he died but life goes on and now the government will seize and crush his skylines. . .

No because it's a crap car.

I thought of the car being lost too. There are just some opponauts that are bummed out about it. Some had met him before and posted their stories. And after reading a bunch of news since the crash he really seemed to be a good guy. Yeah there is a lot of of worse stuff happening in the world but it's OK for people to be sad about this.
Also you missed what happened when the news first broke. There were some FP trolls that came out and talked shit on Walker. A lot of blasted them for it and after that people on Oppo were pretty sensitive about negative comments about Walker or FF.
It's definitely a free country and you don't have to edit anything. I'm not mad or anything. Just giving you a heads up cause of all the drama on FP and Oppo over the weekend.

My post was to say I'm sick of reading about how big of fans people were of him when no mention of him can be traced back to them. . . Also it does suck but people need to move on from it, both fans and trolls alike. Granted I did call him a mediocre actor but why sugar coat the truth?
I remember hearing that he did do a bunch of charitable shit and I'm not shit talking him as a human being, it is just that the incident is blown way out of proportion.

You still need to consider that a few people could read your post as an interpretation of you pissing on Paul Walker, and that is not ok.
I did the same thing once and found myself banned from a few forums.
Oh, and don't pull the "Well people are too tight about it" crap.

Yeah there are people who seemed to suddenly be fans now. I'm not letting that bother me though. Better to have some feels sometimes than none, ya know?
The F&F movies were a guilty pleasure of mine. I never considered myself and fan and knew they we not going to win any Oscars. But they had cool cars in them and action sequences. And a lot of people on Oppo said that the movies were responsible for them getting into cars. I was already into cars before the first movie came out but I'm old and have a gearhead dad, haha

Don't like the Paul Walker posts? don't read them. Keep scrolling, but don't think you're all high and mighty because you weren't attached to the guy.
Don't be a dick.

Crap car? Please elaborate

Fair enough point. I guess a disclaimer would be a wise thing to do. . .
It isn't that they are too tight about it, it is really that they are too loose about it. This is a phenomenon of internet culture that is seriously affecting our humanity as it breeds impersonal conflict over a medium where there is very little chance of a face to face confrontation.
It seems as if when something happens to a "celebrity" it really affects ordinary peoples lives in drastic ways. I really don't understand that. A celebrity has no bearing on how I live my life, and yes I do realize I am in the minority with that, but I find it very simplistic to let a death of someone whom people maybe met one time in their life or maybe none greatly disturb their psyche. I just find it odd that really the trolls won and succeeded in making this event of Paul Walker losing his life into a big deal where people get butthurt over.

As explained by the press, it's basically a misbehaving targa with an engine that's known to be unforgivable. I wouldn't mind it being too lively, but if it's beyond unbearable to drive (think having an F1 as a DD in a rainy city) it sucks. As much as I like the looks, the cons outweigh that.

I'm just tired of seeing people preaching about how great of fans they are and the fact that I leave the internet alone for a few days and it is suddenly populated with fans.
It really is a commentary of the social situations that internet culture has brought upon us. I would rather not read about Paul walker and his seemingly billions of fans that popped up when he died. But alas it is every fucking where you look.

I would still love one. Sure it is tempermental and you can't really push the car unless you know what you are doing, but still I think it is pretty and a whole lot better of a car than the Enzo is. I mean there is a save the Enzo campaign why can't we save the Carrera GTs?

I dunno, "sucks" still doesn't apply to me. It might be very difficult to tame, but that doesn't make it a bad car. I remember the TG episode where the Stig spun it during warm up laps because it was so tricky. But once he got used to it he proceeded to break the then record on the TG track.
The early 911 models were also very tricky to drive. Especially the early turbos. But they definitely don't suck, they obviously have a huge following. The Carrera GT also has a big following and has kept its value relatively well.
I don't deny that the Carrera GT is a difficult car to drive. Many professionals have driven it and said as much. But that doesn't make it a crap car. We still don't know the details of this crash. The driver may have been going twice the speed limit at the time. If you speed enough you can crash any car, not just one that is hard to master. It's too early to blame this crash on the car.
Now had the suspension failed and caused the crash it would be valid to blame the car.

stirring the pot isn't going to make it settle any quicker.
You'll also probably find that the internet was already populated by his fans, they just didn't have a reason to talk about him at once.
Mass grief and mourning has been around quite a bit longer than the internet, John Lennon is a famous example.. and I haven't quite seen anyone descend into hysterical wailing yet.

No one's mourning the loss of a car when someone died because it's a fucking car and Paul Walker was a fucking human being. Have some discretion, please. I don't think you quite grasp how incredibly inappropriate this post is.

I know you think you're doing something here in this post, but really you're just shit-stirring. This is exactly the thing that Party-Vi brought the hammer out for yesterday.

Good to know you hold an almost decade-old car in higher esteem than human life.
Stop stirring shit.

I haven't even seen a single movie from the F&F franchise, but I do know shitting on something apparently for the sake of shitting on something when someone that a lot of people liked dies unexpectedly isn't a good way to get along on Oppo.
